The Quest

Society of Creative Thinkers

Saturday

FREE!

On Saturday, young explorers are invited to join our exclusive “Society of Creative Thinkers.” Creativity has gone missing and the Society of Creative Thinkers must embark on The Quest to find it! Part scavenger hunt, part role play and full of clue-solving challenges – The Quest is a mysterious and epic mission to save creativity in the world!

The Quest has two start times, 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. Please note that The Quest is not a performance in itself, but includes a suggested itinerary incorporating performances of The Adventures of Heartman, A Flock of Flyers and Gnomesense! as well as hands-on activities. With the exception of the performances' start times, participants experience The Quest at their own pace. Recommended for children ages 8 and up.

Art Garden

Art Garden

WoW Festival Family Partner San Diego Children's Discovery Museum

Saturday and Sunday

FREE!

In the ART GARDEN, visitors will engage in a large-scale art project to create plants, flowers, and insects out of recycled materials while learning about flower and vegetable gardens, raising chickens, the importance of pollinators such as bees and butterflies, and native and water tolerant plants. This will set the stage for children to make butterfly and bee costumes to move, play, and dance to music in the ART GARDEN as they "pollinate" the flowers. The ART GARDEN will constantly be "growing" throughout the day, so be sure to come by and lend your “green thumb!”

Fort Building

Fort Building

WoW Festival Family Partner San Diego Children's Discovery Museum

Saturday and Sunday

FREE!

The outdoor FORT BUILDING is a place for imagination, exploration, and experimentation as children and families create a sense of place through building design. Continually build and modify a large fort structure made of a wide variety of elements such as pole frames, boxes, and canvases. This community-based design project allows children and adults alike to use their imagination and creative thinking skills while designing multiple, interactive structures and “lands.” Follow the giant bubbles to our Fort Building area and let your imagination fly!
