Run Time: 30 minutes

At the water's edge, a fantasy emerges from the sea. Epic and intimate, and spun around the mythic birth of Aphrodite, goddess of beauty, love and desire, specially- constructed puppets enchant and invite us to dream awake before they return from whence they came. Accompanied by Japanese master musician Yumiko Tanaka's live soundscape, the audience will gather on the sands of beautiful La Jolla Shores for this one-of-a-kind event.

Driving Directions from La Jolla Playhouse: Head North on N Torrey Pines Rd. Turn left on La Jolla Shores Drive. Turn right on El Paseo Grande. Patrons may be dropped off at the entrance to Kennel Way lot. They will then walk through the parking lot, down the stairs to the beach. On Saturday/Sunday this is a first come, first served paid lot. To park on Thursday/Friday or if the Kennel Way lot is full, continue South on El Paseo Grande and veer right onto Camino del Oro until you see the Kellogg Park/La Jolla Shores Public Parking lot on the right. Once parked, the performance site is an approximately 10 minute walk North on the sand (from the parking lot, walk out to the sand and turn right).

Patron Note

Tickets are not required for Seafoam Sleepwalk. Action takes place on the sand and there is no seating provided. First come, first served. Please allow ample time for parking.

Seafoam Sleepwalk is intended for all ages. However, there is a mildly suggestive scene with performers in swimsuits. Parental discretion is advised.

Due to the nature of live performance, run times may be over or under the estimated time provided. It is recommended to allow 30 minutes between performances.
