The Laramie Project:
Ten Years Later

Monday, October 12, 2009

Mandell Weiss Forum

Written by Moisés Kaufman, Leigh Fondakowski, Greg Pierotti, Andy Paris and Stephen Belber
Directed by Darko Tresnjak

In June 2008, members of Tectonic Theater Project returned to Laramie, Wyoming to explore how the town had changed in the ten years since Matthew Shepard’s murder. What they found defied their expectations. The result is a new play about how we construct our own history. This is the continuing story of an American Town.

La Jolla Playhouse will join with theatres across the country in presenting a reading of the Tectonic Theater Project’s new work: The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later. This compelling and groundbreaking epilogue to the original piece will premiere on October 12, 2009 at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall and at more than 100 other theaters in all 50 states, Canada, Great Britain, Spain, Hong Kong and Australia.

Ticket proceeds benefit the Hillcrest Youth Center.
