|Playhouse Teen Council|
Playhouse Teen Council is an advocacy and advisory group involving creative and dynamic high school students throughout San Diego County who demonstrate strong leadership qualities and a passion for theatre. The purpose of the Playhouse Teen Council is to foster the next generation of theatre leaders and professionals.
Playhouse Teen Council members’ will learn the inner workings of a nonprofit professional theatre, attract young audiences and positively contribute to our community’s theatre culture. PTC has the opportunity to meet the artists and experts who bring La Jolla Playhouse's shows to its audiences. Members will participate in seminars, complete projects, attend LJP shows, workshops, talkbacks and learn about the artistic vision of the Playhouse. They also plan and host events throughout the year that celebrate the Playhouse's offerings as well as each member's love of theatre. Each event brings young people to the Playhouse, building on the strong following for challenging live theatre that exists in San Diego.
PTC members serve a term that is generally the length of one academic year. Meetings are held from 4:30 - 6:00 pm on the first and third Monday of every month, first meeting will start in July.
